Dr Stephen Rhys Lloyd has a PhD from the University of Wales, Swansea and has worked as an expert witness for over 30 years and has acted in both criminal and civil cases in all parts of the UK and Ireland. He has been the President of the Institute of Expert Witnesses, President of the Association for Physical Education and President of Basketball Wales.
Dr Lloyd has been involved in many different aspects of physical education and sport for over 40 years and has taught in all phases of education working as a registered inspector of schools in the UK, visiting over 2000 schools during his career. Dr Lloyd has visited and studied sports and education in over 40 countries. He is a former international coach and player and has qualifications in 18 different sports. He currently serves on the World, European and British Standards Institution group for trampoline park installation and safety.

Tim O’Connor BL is a practising barrister at the Bar of Ireland and is an internationally recognised specialist sports lawyer. He has contributed to sports law conferences on an international basis, including the Law In Sport Annual Conference and World Rugby’s Transgender Workshop. He has advised bodies, including Sport Ireland and UK Sport, as well as acting in numerous sports law cases.
Tim is the current chair of the Sports Law Bar Association of Ireland, the Specialist Bar Association at the Bar of Ireland dealing with sports law on an all-Ireland basis, and is a frequent speaker on sports law issues, especially on legal liability. He is a Sports Dispute Solutions Ireland sports arbitrator. Tim is a committee member of the Tort and Insurance Bar Association as well as a current member of the Bar Council of Ireland.
